In our rural setting on the southern slopes of the Tongariro Worlds Heritage National Park we have breath-taking views of Mt Ruapehu and Mangawhero River runs through the property.

The upstairs section of the house is dedicated for guest’s sole use with a guest lounge, tea and coffee making facilities.

Environmental Care

CAIRNBRAE HOUSE® are proud supporters of environmental care.

We collect rain water for your preference and have plenty of hot water heated by a wood burner in the winter.

  • Refuse is separated and disposed of in and environmental manner.
  • Laundry:  All Cairnbrae Linen is laundered on site and air dried.
  • We use only bio degradable citric cleansers and detergents.
  • Grey water is diverted to the garden and we have a separate septic tank system

CAIRNBRAE HOUSE® is fully insulated, has double glazing and under floor heating.

 

 

Taste of Home

Peter and Devon are keen gardeners and provide a taste of home with a variety of home grown vegetables and fruit for your enjoyment.

  • Raspberries
  • Black & Red currants
  • Apples
  • Plums.

We provide local honey and homemade jams.

Your continental breakfast includes a range of cereals, fresh milk and yoghurts. Fruit of the day.

Cheese and ham are also available.

We also provide dark bread for our discerning guests.

We provide fresh coffee/espresso from our local “VOLCANO” coffee roaster. Fresh free range farm eggs on request.

A full cooked breakfast is available on request.
